DID YOU KNOW...?
Norcross has a Homeless Task Force, approved by City Council in 2024 to help address homelessness in the area! At the time, Mayor Craig Newton described the need for a more structured response focused on compassion, mental health support, and housing solutions. Rather than simply moving unhoused individuals from one location to another, the task force is focused on more sustainable ways to help people get back on their feet. The group is currently looking for 3 to 5 new members, with an estimated time commitment of 2-3 hours per month. No experience is necessary. Composed: Salads Reimagined
Freckles & Co, 19 Jones Street, is hosting Composed: Salads Reimagined on Saturday, May 30 at 11am with Chef Matt! He’ll guide the class through two different salads, sharing chef tips and techniques along the way. These aren’t your typical salads, but an updated, elevated take on the classic meal staple. The class includes chef demos, tastings, Q&A and a small jar of vinaigrette dressing to take home. Tickets are $45 per person. Purchase tickets online or by emailing hello@frecklesco.com.
Rush Ready at Carolee’s
Carolee’s is hosting an afternoon for future sorority girls and their moms this Sunday, May 31 from 1-2:30pm! If you’re preparing for sorority recruitment this fall, stop by for helpful insight, practical tips, and encouragement. Buford Highway Master Plan Open House
The City of Norcross is hosting a Community Open House for the Buford Highway Master Plan update on Tuesday, June 16 from 5:30-7:30pm at the Norcross Branch Library! This is the first update to the plan in five years and will help guide future investment, development, mobility, land use, and placemaking along the two-mile stretch of Buford Highway through Norcross. Community input from the open house will help shape the updated vision for Buford Highway!

The salon is looking for someone friendly and professional with experience in manicures, pedicures, nail art, cosmetology trends, and customer service. Haddie Arnold is available for childcare, babysitting, and special needs care!! She has more than ten years of childcare experience, including babysitting for local families, serving in church childcare, and helping care for her nieces. Haddie has also played an active role in caring for her younger sister, who has significant special needs. Her hands-on experience includes feeding, medication administration, G-tube care, communication devices, and specialized daily care needs.
