DID YOU KNOW...?
Norcross Porchfest will include a Porch Decorating Contest this year! The theme is Spring in Your Porch Step, centered on what you enjoy most about spring in Norcross. Porch hosts and neighbors within walking distance of the Porchfest footprint are welcome to participate! And if you don’t have a front porch, a front door works just as well!
This piece has been especially fun to shape with BIA Charter School, a Gold Sponsor of Porchfest, along with a panel of volunteers! Porches will be judged on creativity, festivity, and sustainability, and online voting will take place on Friday, May 1. Winners will be announced at Norcross Porchfest on Saturday, May 2!
The link to participate will be shared in this newsletter, as well as on Norcross Porchfest social media and the website, closer to the date. I’m sharing this early so you have time to start thinking and pulling ideas together! Entries are due Thursday, April 30 at 5pm!
Separately, if you want to volunteer at Norcross Porchfest, we’ll be hosting a Volunteer Info Meeting at 45 South on Saturday, April 11 from 2:30-3:30pm!

Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run
Norcross Police is hosting its first Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run on Saturday, March 28, and the community is invited to join! The morning includes a 5K run at 9am and a 1.4 mile walk at 10am. There will be a checkpoint at One Heart Church, followed by food, drinks, and community booths at the finish. All proceeds support Special Olympics Georgia, and you can find more info or register here!
