A weekly email for the young & forever young in Historic Norcross

DID YOU KNOW...? 
It’s been almost 10 years since Norcross Discovery Garden Park opened on October 22, 2016! If you’re unfamiliar with the Discovery Garden Park, it’s community-focused organic garden in downtown Norcross. Neighbors rent raised beds to grow fruits, vegetables, and flowers, while the public is welcome to stroll through and learn.

The park also hosts workshops, gardening lessons, and cooking demos around the on-site grills, guided by a local board and volunteers. Anniversary activities are in the works! Stay tuned for updates, and if you have questions or want to get involved, email dgp@norcrossga.net!

COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT
Lunar New Year Lion Dance
The Norcross Branch Library, 5735 Buford Hwy, Norcross, is hosting a Lunar New Year Lion Dance on Saturday, February 28 at 3pm! All ages are welcome to enjoy this traditional performance presented by FASCA, featuring dancers in lion costumes who mimic a lion’s movements to welcome the new year and bring good luck and fortune. Norcross Youth Baseball and Softball Association
Opening Day is almost here for NYBSA at Pinckneyville Park, 4650 Peachtree Industrial Blvd, Berkeley Lake! Join the fun on Saturday, March 7 at 9:30am as the Spring 2026 season officially kicks off. Opening ceremonies begin at 10:15am with team introductions, the National Anthem, and a first pitch ceremony, with Gwinnett Firefighters throwing out the first pitch. A Night at the Hunnicutt Inn
Mt. Carmel UMC invites the community to A Night at the Hunnicutt Inn, an original play sharing the history of Mt. Carmel and the Pinckneyville community! Performances are Friday, March 13 at 7pm, and Saturday, March 14 at 3pm and 7pm at 5100 S. Old Peachtree Road, Norcross. Tickets are $15 and include dessert!
