Norcross Email Extravaganza Vol. 387
A weekly email for the young & forever young in Historic Norcross
DID YOU KNOW...?
The lineup for Norcross Porchfest is here! We received nearly 50 applications, and a volunteer panel helped shape the mix of musicians and performers you’ll see on May 2. The stage assignments and set times will be shared soon, as well!
Norcross Porchfest is coming together thanks to so many people showing up in their own way, from performers and porch hosts to volunteers, resident sponsors, and community sponsors. If you’ve been thinking about getting involved, there’s still time to volunteer or come on board as a resident or business sponsor. We’re also working on a few more ways for neighbors to join in, with details coming soon!
PHOTO OF THE WEEK
City leaders, police officers, and volunteer firefighters gather outside the station with Norcross’ first fire truck, a 1942 Ford model acquired after World War II. Photo and details from Gene Ramsey’s History Blog.
Submit a photo to be featured! This can be you/your family, cool critters around town, cozy corners you like to rest in, events, the train, sunsets, etc! It’s up to you - just send your photo and a brief description to youngnorcross@gmail.com!
