A weekly email for the young & forever young in Historic Norcross

DID YOU KNOW...? 
Norcross has been home to some pretty incredible athletes over the years! Several went on to play professional football, including Jake Camarda (Tampa Bay Buccaneers), Chris Herndon (New Orleans Saints), Alvin Kamara (New Orleans Saints), Davis Mills (Houston Texans), Wesley Duke (Denver Broncos), and former NFL tight end Jason Croom (Buffalo Bills).

Norcross has also been home to NBA players Malcolm Brogdon (Portland Trail Blazers) and Brandon Boston (Los Angeles Clippers). It’s a fun reminder that some big careers started on the same school fields and gyms many of us know well!

Ice Cream for Breakfast Day
Butter & Cream’s annual Ice Cream for Breakfast Day celebration is tomorrow, Saturday, February 7! The store will open at 9am and offer a special menu with cinnamon rolls, hot coffee, and a few special breakfast flavors. Also, the first few guests will get a free Butter & Cream mug! The Norcross location is located at 127 S Peachtree Street.

Brookhaven Innovation Academy Open House and Lottery
Brookhaven Innovation Academy is hosting an open house for families interested in the 2026–2027 school year. The event takes place on Sunday, February 8 from 1-3pm on campus at 186 Hunter Street in Norcross. Families can tour the school, meet teachers and parents, and learn how to apply. Admission is through a lottery, with applications opening after February 2 and the lottery held March 5 using Lotterease. Learn more, RSVP, and access the lottery!

Amazing Art Expo
Amazing Art Expo is coming to Norcross February 6-8 with three days of pop-culture art and special guests! Admission and parking are free at the Crowne Plaza Atlanta NE, 6050 Peachtree Industrial Blvd. Explore art inspired by Disney, Alice in Wonderland, Anime, Marvel, Star Wars, DC, Harry Potter, and more. Meet voice actors Grey DeLisle and Greg Baldwin, plus nationally recognized artists Nastiya Grushovenko and Anna Grom. Reserve your free tickets and learn more!

Historic Norcross Galentine’s Boutique Crawl
Head to Downtown Norcross for a little retail therapy, Galentine’s style, on Thursday, February 12 from 5-8pm! Stop by participating downtown shops, collect stamps on your Galentine’s Passport, and enjoy exclusive in-store specials along the way. Turn in your completed passport to be entered to win a grand prize featuring goodies from your favorite local shops and businesses!
