DID YOU KNOW...? 
Monday, February 2 is Groundhog Day! The date falls halfway between the winter solstice and the spring equinox. The tradition of looking for signs at this time of year spans centuries! In parts of Europe, Christians believed a sunny Candlemas signaled 40 more days of cold and snow. Germans added their own twist, watching whether badgers or other small animals saw their shadows.

When German immigrants settled Pennsylvania in the 18th and 19th centuries, they chose the native groundhog as forecaster. The first official celebration took place in Punxsutawney in 1887, and thousands still gather and watch each year!

Local Math Tutor Needed
A local family is looking for a kind, reliable high school girl to help a third grader with basic word problems and multiplication memorization. Sessions would be twice a week and paid. Please text Kassie Diehl at 678-467-9844 if interested!
