Martin Luther King Jr. Day is meant to be a “day on,” not just a day off. It’s part of the National Day of Service, which encourages people to volunteer and support their communities. It is also the only federal holiday officially designated as a day of service! Since MLK Day is this Monday, January 19, consider doing one helpful thing for someone else that day!

Walton Crossing + Community Feedback
Walton Crossing is now open for rent and offers affordable options for households who meet income guidelines. Additionally, Walton Communities and Mosaic Community Planning are hosting two free community meetings at Walton Crossing, 675 Mitchell Road, on Wednesday, January 21, 11am and Thursday, January 22 at 3pm. These meetings will gather input on barriers to accessing education, employment, and health resources nearby. You can also share feedback through the community survey at tinyurl.com/s4p9p8ra.
Freckles Puzzle Challenge
Freckles & Co. is hosting a cozy puzzle competition on Saturday, January 24 at 11am at 19 Jones Street. Teams of two will race to finish a 500-piece puzzle (and you keep it)! Prizes include gift cards for first and second place teams! RSVP by Monday, January 20 by emailing hello@frecklesco.com.
