DID YOU KNOW...?
Happy Halloween, neighbors! If this is your first Halloween in Historic Norcross, it’s kind of a big deal. Streets shut down (list below), police manage traffic (and hand out candy), and North Peachtree wins the prize for the most trick-or-treaters.
Road closures:
North Peachtree Street, between Buchanan Street, Thrasher Park, and Oak Cove, with officers stationed for traffic assistance.
Sunset Drive beyond Barton Street, accessible to residents via Barton Street only.
Huddersfield Way will be closed between Goodwick Way and the rear entrance drive to Beaver Creek Townhomes, with officers available for local traffic escort.
Can’t wait to see everyone’s costumes!

Bilingual Story Time with Mayra Cuevas
Norcross resident, award-winning producer, and Georgia Author of the Year Mayra Cuevas will visit Freckles & Co., 19 Jones Street NW, Saturday, November 1 at 10:30am! She’ll share her new picture book, My Abuela is a Bruja/Mi Abuela es una Bruja, a bilingual story celebrating Puerto Rican magic and the bond between grandmother and grandchild. Reserve your signed copy and spot in advance!
Call for Applications: Boards, Commissions & Authorities
Norcross is accepting applications for vacancies on the Downtown Development Authority, Norcross Housing Authority, and the Norcross Public Arts Commission! Applications are due TODAY, Friday, October 31 at 5pm. Serving on a BCA lets residents and business owners shape key decisions and support community initiatives.
Final Weekend to Bid for Norcross Shapes Auction
It’s the final weekend to see Norcross Shapes at Norcross Gallery & Studios, 116 Carlyle Street! This annual exhibit and silent auction funds exhibits, community events, and classes while supporting local artists. Stop by to view the show and place your bids! Join the public closing reception on Sunday, November 2, 1-4pm, with final bids at 2pm!
Good Samaritan Gwinnett Open House
Good Samaritan Health Centers of Gwinnett invites you to its “Let’s Give Thanks Together” Open House on Tuesday, November 4 from 4:30-6pm, 5949 Buford Highway, Norcross! Guests can tour the clinic, meet staff, and celebrate 20 years of local healthcare! The Center’s Access Academy Medical Assisting Program begins January 12, 2026, offering affordable training for aspiring healthcare workers. Virtual info sessions will be held November 5 and 19 from 6-7pm!
Pickle for Pups
BarkVille Dog Rescue hosts its 3rd Annual Pickle for Pups at Life Time Peachtree Corners, 6350 Courtside Dr NW, on November 7-8! Enjoy live music at Friday’s Drinks and Dinks Party, then a team tournament on Saturday. Expect pickleball free play, adoptable dogs, a raffle, and more! Tickets are available now!
