Each candidate for City Council responded to three questions via video to help Young Norcross subscribers learn more about them. I shared the videos on social media earlier this week (for early voters), so you may have already seen them. If not (or even if so), I encourage you to watch each response below. Early voting runs October 14-31, and Election Day is Tuesday, November 4!

2) What types of development or redevelopment would you support as Norcross updates its 2045 Comprehensive Plan and Buford Highway Master Plan?

Deutsche Klassic German Car Show
The Deutsche Klassic German Car Show rolls back into Downtown Norcross with more than 250 classic German cars tomorrow, Saturday, October 25, from 10am-3pm! See BMW, Audi, Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, and Opel. Grab a brat, enjoy a beer, and catch the polka band. Family friendly and easy to make a day of it!
Acorn Decorating Contest
Calling all artists! NPAC is holding an Acorn Decorating Contest and exhibit to benefit the White Squirrels of Norcross project. Pick up your acorn at Norcross Gallery & Studios between 11am-4pm, Thursday thru Saturday, October 30-November 1. While there, be sure to check out the Shapes exhibit and bid on some phenomenal art for incredible prices. Drop off decorated acorns during gallery hours, by November 15. There is a $30 Entry Fee. Email to reserve an acorn!
Enchanted Forest
Enchanted Forest is back with storytelling, a nature walk, and fairy houses galore! Bring your Halloween pumpkins to turn into tiny homes for fairies! If a pumpkin is past its prime, we will compost it for a local school garden. Free fun for ages 4 and up, Children under 12 must come with an adult. Older kids are welcome, too! Sunday, November 2, from 2-4pm at Johnson Dean Forest Preserve, 45 N. Barton Street. If you cannot attend, you can still drop pumpkins near the trail entrance!
Norcross Neighbors Connect
Impact Norcross invites you to our annual Norcross Neighbors Connect on Sunday, October 26 from 4-6pm in Thrasher Park. Come connect with neighbors you know and meet some new ones while enjoying family friendly crafts and games, hot dogs and pizza. Our ministry partners will be there to share serving opportunities and their resources. The event is also a food drive for our pantry at the library. We welcome sock and coat donations, too. We hope to see you Sunday!
