The Bluesberry Beer & Music Festival was rained out in June, but it’s making a fall comeback tomorrow, Saturday, October 4! Head to Betty Mauldin Park from 5-10pm for live blues music, blueberry-themed drinks and treats, and specials from downtown businesses. Admission is free! More details and the artist schedule here!

Norcross Discovery Garden members Britt Lancaster, Paul Sumner, Nicole Maxfield-Hooks, and Lottie Luciano Kelly visited Creation Kids to garden with students last week! They planted succulents, explored plants through touch and smell, and added a peach tree to the playground.

Mt. Carmel Fall Events
Mt. Carmel UMC’s Annual Fall BBQ is today, Friday, October 3, from 11am-3pm, with pints and pounds available at the drive-thru from 3-6pm! The Pumpkin Patch runs Sunday, October 5 through Friday, October 31, open daily 10am-7pm. Saturday story times are at 10am, the Fall Festival and trunk or treat is October 19 at 4pm, and the Cemetery Tour is October 26 at 2pm. Donations for NCM will be collected all month!
Carolee’s Annual Tent Sale
Carolee’s, 27 Holcomb Bridge Rd, is hosting their Annual Tent Sale today, Friday, October 3 and Saturday, October 4 with everything in the tent marked 30% to 75% off! Next Thursday, October 9 they’re hosting their Fall Fashion Show at The Rectory from 6:30-8:30pm. It’s a great night to enjoy fashion, spend time with friends, and have some fun!
Norcross City Council Debate
The Norcross City Council Debate is on Tuesday, October 7 at the Norcross Cultural Arts and Community Center, 10 College Street! The debate will begin promptly at 7pm and will feature incumbent Matt Myers and challenger Briana Murray, as well as incumbent Bruce Gaynor and challenger Samantha Spitzner. Audience questions won’t be taken during the debate, but you can email questions in advance to Jim Blum at jblum@blumcampbell.com.

She’ll read her new picture book, My Abuela is a Bruja, in English and Spanish, followed by a sweet seed-planting activity with the kids. It’s a lovely way to spend a fall morning with your family and support a talented local author!
