Norcross Email Extravaganza Vol. 356
A weekly email for the young & forever young in Historic Norcross
DID YOU KNOW...?
The Historic Norcross Business Association (HNBA) hosted a town hall last week at Cultivation Brewery. Around 70 people attended (residents, business owners, city leaders) to discuss plans for downtown Norcross.
Jimmy Costas, owner of B&W and new owner of the South End project, shared plans to tear down the old Tile Tech building, add food containers next to the future food hall, and keep working with the city on permits and parking. He’s open to ideas on what kind of food to bring in and wants feedback from the community.
Parking was a big topic. The city’s study says we need at least 70 more spaces downtown. Surface lots are a short-term focus. A parking deck may come later, but it’s not funded or approved yet.
Parklets, the new raised wooden seating areas being added to Jones Street, also sparked discussion, especially from business owners concerned about parking for takeout orders. The group plans to meet again in six months. I’ll let you know when there’s a date set for it.
**Please remember to RSVP for the Norcross Porchfest Volunteer Kickoff event at Cultivation Brewery if you’re interested in getting involved! It’s on Sunday, August 3 from 4-5p. This meeting is for you to gather information and decide if you’d like to commit to volunteering, and if so, how. See you there!

They’ll be gathering community input as part of the mid-term update to the Comprehensive Plan and the Buford Highway Master Plan. If you’re around, it’s worth stopping by, even just to say hi!
