Norcross Email Extravaganza Vol. 354
A weekly email for the young & forever young in Historic Norcross
DID YOU KNOW...?
An extended patio is coming to downtown Norcross, planned for the space in front of Zapata and Savage Pizza. The raised deck will replace the current parallel parking spots on Jones Street, with new public parking options being added nearby to support the change. If you're curious, have questions, and/or like free food, stop by Cookout With Council on Saturday, July 19 from 11a-2p at Thrasher Park. Enjoy free food, connect with neighbors, and hear more about what's ahead for Norcross from City Council.
I hope everyone had a great 3rd! Happy 4th!

COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT
Free Little Art Gallery
Norcross now has a Free Little Art Gallery (F.L.A.G.) thanks to local students and the Norcross Public Arts Commission! Visit the Supply Station at the city lot near South Peachtree and Carlyle to pick up free art materials, then create your own mini masterpiece. When you’re finished, head to Betty Mauldin Park to swap your art at the Display Station. Leave your piece and take one that inspires you. All ages are welcome to participate!
SWGCC Coffee Connections Spotlight
Join the Southwest Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday, July 17 at 8:30a at Atlanta Tech Park for Coffee Connections! The guest speaker is Cynthia Currence, author of Beyond Checks & Halos and former VP of Brand Strategy at the American Cancer Society. She’ll lead an interactive session on building impactful partnerships between businesses and nonprofits. Free and open to all. We’ll also collect donations for the Norcross Cluster Backpack Fair. (Packing day is July 23!)
3-Day Counseling Intensive (middle school girls)
This 3-day counseling intensive is designed specifically for middle school girls to explore emotions, build confidence, and develop healthy coping skills in a supportive and empowering environment. The program takes place July 21–23, from 9a-12p at our Simplify Life Downtown Norcross location. For more information or to sign up, email allie@simplifyatlanta.com.
