Norcross Email Extravaganza Vol. 337
A weekly email for the young & forever young in Historic Norcross
DID YOU KNOW...?
Wingo Street was once Railroad Street! After World War II, Norcross renamed it to honor two brothers, Red and Ivey Wingo, who were drafted to Major League Baseball in the 1920s. I learned this fun fact at PDC on Wednesday morning!
If you’re interested in attending PDC, but the day/time isn’t convenient for you, I have good news! Cathy Muth is considering starting a once-a-month version with easier-to-attend hours. If you’re interested in attending, let her know: Cathy.muth@att.net
Also, Irish Fest is this Saturday, March 8 from 1-5p in downtown Norcross! *Remember to set your clocks one hour forward before you go to sleep Saturday night. Daylight saving time starts at 2a Sunday, March 9.
