The City of Norcross is celebrating Georgia Arbor Day with a tree planting event today, Friday, February 21, at 10a! The event takes place near the Lion’s Club Concession area at 325 Price Pl NW, Norcross. The Tree Preservation Board, Norcross Garden Club, and Baldwin Elementary third graders will plant an honorary tree alongside Mayor Craig Newton. Dave Long from the Georgia Forestry Commission will also give a special talk on the role of trees in our community.

The Historic Library Open House, 65 N Peachtree St., is tonight, Friday, February 21 from 4:30-6p. Explore the space, meet city officials, and share your thoughts on restoration and expansion plans with the Historic Preservation Commission.
Gwinnett Symphony Orchestra
Gwinnett Symphony Orchestra will perform at Norcross First Global Methodist Church on Sunday, February 23 at 5p. Tickets online at gwinnettsymphony.org or at the door.

Recycling & Clean Up Day
The City of Norcross' Spring Annual Neighborhood Recycling & Clean Up Day is Saturday, March 29 from 8a-12p at Norcross Public Works, 345 Lively Avenue. Residents will be able to drop off their paper for shredding, as well as electronics, batteries, scrap metal, and PAINT (limit to 5 containers) for recycling as well as bulky junk items for disposal or donation. Research Participants Needed: Behavior Assessment Scale for Children
Rosemary Glean of Aum Sweet Home, in partnership with Pearson Clinical Field Research, is seeking participants ages 2 to 25 for a behavioral assessment study.
