Norcross Email Extravaganza Vol. 307
A weekly email for the young & forever young in Historic Norcross
DID YOU KNOW...?
The Norcross Welcome Center & History Museum has a new home! You're invited to the Open House on Thursday, August 22, from 5-7p. The new location is at 17 College Street (The Rectory). Tour the space, enjoy local bites, refreshments, and entertainment, and hear from Mayor Newton. There will also be a ribbon-cutting!
p.s.- If you signed up for a Young Norcross card, but have not received communications about picking it up, please let me know!
MEET YOUR NEIGHBOR
Submit yourself / your family to be featured! Email a brief introduction and photo of you / your family to youngnorcross@gmail.com. Then show your “Meet Your Neighbor” feature to the team at Social Fox Brewing for a free round (this is the only feature that earns a free round)!
DOG OF THE WEEK
Baltimore is a 2.5-year-old, 65 lb cuddle bug who has spent 420 days in the shelter system. His foster family saved him from euthanasia and can only keep him temporarily. They hope to find him a forever home very soon. Baltimore is house and crate trained, loves playing with doggie friends, walks perfectly on a leash, and enjoys car rides. While he prefers a home without small children, he is ready to be your perfect companion. Meet Baltimore today!
COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT

Zero Waste Initiative Volunteers Needed
Norcross is running a Zero Waste Initiative at the August 30 Summer Concert and looking for volunteers serve as Bin Monitors (aka "Trash Talkers") to help concert attendees to put their "trash" in the correct, trash, recycling, or compost bins. If you have a high schooler that needs service hours, or want to serve with your fellow Norcross neighbors, sign up HERE!
