Multiple projects were filmed in Historic Norcross this week, including Will Trent (ABC) and Tell Me Lies (Hulu). Most of our downtown restaurants and shops were closed for filming, but should resume normal hours by tomorrow, Saturday, February 10.

Norcross Tree Preservation Board Arbor Day Celebration
Join us for Norcross's Arbor Day celebration at Pinnacle Park on February 16 at 10a. The celebration, hosted by the Norcross Tree Preservation Board, will feature the planting of a Shumard Oak tree by the lakeside in honor of Arbor Day. Special guests include Norcross Mayor Craig Newton and a representative from the Georgia Forestry Commission. Additionally, Arborist Rick Barnes from SavATree will host an engaging program suitable for students of all ages.
Poker Run 2024 (SWGC)
Participate in the Poker Run 2024, organized by the Southwest Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce, now through February 18. Collect poker cards from participating chamber businesses with each purchase. The best 5-card poker hands could win prizes, with three chances to win. The event concludes with a Poker Run Party at Lillie J's Kitchen & Cocktails on February 21, 5-7p, where winners are announced. Support local businesses and win prizes. Details here!
Black Authors Showcase
The City of Norcross and The Local Peach are excited to present the Black Authors Showcase on February 11 from 11a-2p. The event will be held at 125 Lawrenceville St., Suite 190, Norcross 30071. This showcase will feature Marietta Colston Davis, the author of "From Autism to Beyond" and "Earning Your Stripes." For more information, call (678) 641-1931.
