Norcross Email Extravaganza Vol. 238
A weekly email for the young & forever young in Historic Norcross
DID YOU KNOW...?
You’re invited to complete this survey and contribute to the citywide Comprehensive Plan and the Town Center Livable Centers Initiative (even if you gave feedback in person last weekend). These two plans are critical for shaping future land use and development and improving mobility options in the city. Your input is important for guiding the plan updates (this is a big deal, y’all)!
COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT
Norcross Neighbors Connect
You’re invited to Norcross Neighbors Connect at the Thrasher Park pavilion and playground on this Sunday, April 16 from 5:30-7p! Join Impact Norcross for pizza and time with neighbors, known and new! Water will be provided but feel free to bring other drinks. You're also invited to join us for prayer time from 7-7:15p.
Happy Hour with PDC
Our spring happy hour with People Drinking Coffee (PDC) is Thursday, April 20 at Cultivation Brewing from 6-8p. Grab a drink, socialize, and grab some grub from Viva Pita Food Truck!
Young Norcross Card Release
The third Young Norcross card release takes place on the rooftop at B&W Burgers next Friday, April 21 starting at 6p. (Did you know they have a separate tapas menu for the rooftop?!) If it’s raining, we will relocate inside. The cards are limited and first-come, first-served, so be sure to pop by and grab yours before they’re gone!
Music/Art Show
Musician and visual artist Sarah Saturday, aka, ‘Gardening, Not Architecture’ will be performing a preview of her upcoming live show, “Voyage” in Historic Norcross. She’ll be at The O Gallery April 21 & 22, for a total of three shows: Friday, April 21 at 7:30p, Saturday, April 22 at 3:30p & 7:30p. Tickets are $15 and can be found here.
Southwest Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce
The next SWGCC Coffee Connections Spotlight takes place on April 20, 8:30-9:30a. The topic is hiring and labor issues, specifically including the impact on families with kids on the autism spectrum. The guest speaker will be Chet Hurwitz, founder and board chair of Ventures ATL. Chet will explore how this unique Atlanta-based organization is growing and thriving in its mission to provide a wide range of employment opportunities to adults with autism and other developmental differences - and why it's good for business. Norcross Library Founders Club
