Norcross Email Extravaganza Vol. 233
A weekly email for the young & forever young in Historic Norcross
DID YOU KNOW...?
This weekend marks Cultivation Brewing’s second anniversary! They have an adventurous weekend planned with local food, live music, and new beer on tap. We’re grateful for the impact Cultivation continues to have on our community - through the great memories made there, the creation of Cultivation Foundation, and the refreshing creativity they incorporate into the business. Check out the 'Deals and Events’ section below for a full list of the weekend’s activities.
COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT
Summer Concert Series
The 2023 Norcross Summer Concert Series concert series kicks off on Friday, May 26 through Friday, September 1! Spaces on the lawn are a *BIG* deal - attendees are not permitted to claim a spot until 6a the day of the concert. That being said, reserved table sales go live Monday, April 17 at 9a! Tables are limited, so don't miss out on your chance to snag a prime spot. The table sales link will be available at aplacetoimagine.com.
Book Release
You are invited to attend the release of All The Things A Girl Can Be From A to Z, written by Norcross resident Lydia Thompson. The release takes place at Norcross Garden Club (33 College St NW, 30071) on Sunday, March 19 between 3-5p! There will be treats, activities, and books available for purchase.
“Deli” at Lionheart Theater
The Lionheart Theatre Company is pleased to present the world premiere of "Deli," written by local Atlanta playwright Diane Dexter and directed by Jeremy King. “Deli” explores the question, ‘What happens to a neighborhood institution when the neighborhood changes?’ At the heart of “Deli” is a decision we all face at one time or another: Whether to hang on, adapt, or let go. Purchase tickets here.
St. Patrick’s Day
The City of Norcross is excited to host a St. Patrick’s Day celebration! Downtown Merchants will be offering Irish-themed activities and fare to mark the occasion and outside you will find music, dancing, face painting, a balloon twister, tastings and more! It takes place on Saturday, March 18 at Skin Alley (street behind Social Fox) from 12-5p. Click here to learn more.
Spring Photo Mini Sessions
Local photographer Katelyn Byrne will be doing Spring Mini Sessions on Saturday, April 15th from 4:30-7p at Garrard Landing Park.
