Norcross Email Extravaganza Vol. 223
DID YOU KNOW...?
A few families have asked if we know of any experienced, trustworthy babysitters in the community. If you have experience working with children, please let us know! We would love to have a list of options available when parents reach out! Send an email to youngnorcross@gmail.com with your name, contact info, the ages you're comfortable working with, and anything else that may be helpful to share with parents (references, years of experience, etc.).
While we're at it, if you have a skill people may inquire about (plumber, electrician, child care, pet care, lawn care, etc.) send us your info, too! If we get a solid list together, we'll create a standing referral sheet for everyone to access.
GET INVOLVED
Feedback for the City
The City of Norcross is looking for feedback about Pedal Norcross, a program run through the Sustainable Norcross Commission, to help guide decision-making for the future of bikeability in our community! Please take the survey and share your thoughts to help make Norcross (more) bike-friendly. The deadline for submitting a response is Monday, February 6, 2023, by 5p. Click here to take the survey!

People Drinking Coffee (PDC)
Norcross PDC is a weekly morning meetup at 45 South Cafe in downtown Norcross. What began as a grassroots effort to improve the city has now become a go-to for insight into what is happening around Norcross and beyond. The group meets every Wednesday at 8:15a to hear speakers cover topics that range from local government, non-profit, and small businesses, to local politics and City leaders. Email pdcnorcross@gmail.com to learn who the speaker is this week!

MEET YOUR NEIGHBORS
Meet the Corley family! Jonathan and Kristen (both Georgia natives) moved into their midcentury modern ranch on Cochran Drive in 2016. Jonathan grew up in Gwinnett and spent years on the road as a touring musician in an indie rock band before shifting focus to a career in technology. He is now the Director of Experience Strategy at Sitecore, where he's worked for six years. Kristen grew up in Cumming and is writing this in the third person because she has been helping Callie produce Young Norcross content for a little more than a year now (social media and, more recently, this newsletter). The Corleys were beyond thrilled to welcome their son, Cooper, into the world in June 2022. Doctor (cattle dog/chow mix) is an incredible big brother to Cooper, but he's a perfect pup so it wasn't much of a surprise. Kristen and Jonathan are so grateful to raise Cooper in Historic Norcross. Please say hi if you see them around town!
