Happy Hour Tomorrow + Norcross Opportunities
Tomorrow (Wednesday March 23), Young Norcross and the PDC invite you to Cultivation for a Norcross Community Happy Hour. Drop by between 6-9pm to meet your neighbors and learn about ways to get involved in the city. Burger Bros and Cereal N Cream will be on site selling dinner and dessert.
It looks like we'll have pretty terrible weather tomorrow, but the internet is telling us it should clear up by 6pm. The event will happen rain or shine (hopefully shine)!
For the last few weeks, we've asked clubs/boards/events/organizations in Norcross to send us their descriptions and volunteer needs. Some will have fliers available at Cultivation tomorrow, but you can also look through opportunities below:
The PDC
The PDC was created in 2002 as a way for local/interested folks to challenge the city council at that time. While that sounding board still exists, the PDC has morphed into what we call a Live Norcross Newsletter. It's where we discuss current events that are political, educational, and community in nature. If there is a local matter that is becoming a hot topic, you can bet that it will be aired at the next PDC meeting. This then creates a forum where discussions can be publicly aired and be addressed by city council before it becomes a larger issue. Meetings are every Wednesday morning from 8:15-9am at 45 South Cafe. If you'd like to be added to our weekly email list to see who will be speaking, please do so: pdcnorcross@gmail.com

From artist setup on Friday Sept 30 to artist breakdown Sunday evening there are many ways for both students and adults to help. Volunteer signup will begin in August.
