Norcross Email Extravaganza Vol. 173
Did You Know…?
The group behind the South End development (where the Love, Norcross mural has popped up at the end of downtown) announced their plans publicly last week at a packed PDC gathering.
Most notable are plans for a green space, multiple buildings (some renovated and some new construction), a water tower feature, and signed leases from Refuge Coffee Co. and Butter & Cream! Along with a patio installation, these two businesses will be the first of many new spots to open later this year once permits are cleared. They put together this preview for us of this Phase 1!
Temporary Recycling Containers for City of Norcross
Due to labor shortages caused by COVID-19, the City of Norcross has been notified by Waste Management that curbside recycling will be co-mingled with regular trash for the next two weeks.
If you would like to ensure that your recyclables are recycled during this period, please use temporary recycling drop-off containers that are located at City Hall (65 Lawrenceville Street) and Public Works (345 Lively Avenue). These temporary containers are open to City of Norcross residents 24/7, and are only for paper, cartons, flattened cardboard, empty plastic bottles, plastic jugs, and metal cans. Please no trash, bagged material, or plastic bags. Contact communitydevelopment@norcrossga.net or call 678-421-2027 with any questions!
Filming
The Iron Horse let us know that they will be closed on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday next week as Queens will be filming in the building.

Meet Your Neighbors
Meet the Corleys. Jonathan and Kristen are both Georgia natives and moved to Norcross five years ago when they purchased their first home on Cochran Drive. Jonathan is a musician and an avid vinyl collector. He leads the Value Consulting team at Sitecore, a software company based in San Francisco. Kristen loves going to the gym, gardening, and, after working in content marketing for 10 years, is currently focusing on growing their family - they're expecting their first child in July 2022! You'll likely see them riding bikes or walking into downtown Norcross, socializing and playing trivia at Social Fox, or exploring new trails with their dog, Doctor. "Please say hi if you see us out and about!"
