Norcross Garden Sale
The Norcross Garden Club’s Spring Plant Sale is back! Shop passalong plants, perennials, natives, veggie starts, trees, shrubs, ferns, ground covers and houseplants, plus a few extra garden finds, all at great prices! It takes place at 33 College Street and next door at Heritage Park. The sale began yesterday and continues today, Friday, April 24 from 10am-7pm, and Saturday, April 25 from 10am-2pm. Proceeds support horticulture scholarships through the Garden Club of Georgia, along with local youth gardening efforts! Rain or shine, with cash, check, card and PayPal accepted.

The Front Porch Decorating Contest, hosted in partnership with BIA Charter School, is also coming up! Participating homes should be decorated, photographed, and submitted by April 30 at 5pm, and remain decorated through the end of the festival. Voting will take place online, with the winner announced Saturday after Porchfest. If you’re feeling creative, sidewalk and driveway chalk art is also encouraged. Keep it simple or go all in, whatever works for you. For inspiration, you can check out this board!

Ava Binnion is currently 6th in her group in a national challenge to become the next Jr. Ranger! If you’d like to support her, you can cast a free vote once per day now through June 19. It would mean a lot to her and her family!

Bluesberry Beer & Music Festival
The Bluesberry Beer & Music Festival returns Saturday, April 18 from 3-10pm at Betty Mauldin Park! Hosted by the City of Norcross, this annual event blends blueberry-inspired drinks and treats with a full lineup of live blues music. Annual Spring Recycle & Clean Up Day
The City’s annual Spring Recycle & Clean Up Day is tomorrow, Saturday, April 11 from 8am-12pm at Norcross Public Works, 345 Lively Ave. Residents within city limits can drop off paper for shredding, electronics, scrap metal, and paint (up to 5 containers per household) for recycling, along with bulky items for disposal.

Volunteer Meeting for Norcross Porchfest
If you’re planning to volunteer for Norcross Porchfest, we’ll be at 45 South tomorrow, Saturday, April 11 from 2:30-3:30pm to walk through roles, timing, and what to expect! It’s completely optional, so if you can’t make it, no worries. Just make sure you’re signed up on our site or following along on Instagram and we’ll send out notes and a task sign up sheet so you can choose what works best for you! Porch hosts, your separate meetup is still on from 1-2pm at 45 South. See you there!

Earth Day Celebration with Poder LatinX
Join Poder LatinX on Friday, April 24 from 4-8pm at Thrasher Park an Earth Month celebration centered on culture, education, and community. Easter Egg Hunt & Festivities
Saturday, April 4 is a full day of Easter fun in Norcross! Start at Rossie Brundage Park with the free Easter Egg Hunt at 10am, then stick around for photos with the Bunny and a Disney Princess. An Egg-stra Special Egg Hunt for kids with special needs follows at 1pm, with adaptive tools available to help make the experience fun and accessible for everyone! Then head to downtown Norcross for the Shop Hop Eggstravaganza from 2-5pm, with retail and dining specials, activities, face painting and more spring fun around town! Registration is only required for the special needs hunt.

Hispanic Business Outreach Event
The City of Norcross Economic Development Department is hosting a Hispanic Business Outreach Event on Wednesday, April 23 from 10:30am-12:30pm at the Norcross Cultural Arts & Community Center. You’ll have the chance to connect with groups like the Hispanic Business Center, UGA’s Small Business Development Center, Prospera and more, all there to share real guidance, resources and next steps. Registration is required and space is limited!

Blessing of the Animals
Norcross Presbyterian Church, 89 Jones Street, will hold its annual Blessing of the Animals on Sunday, April 26 with an outdoor service by the bell, followed by individual blessings for pets. It’s usually a very dog-friendly crowd, though past years have also included a lizard and even a snake, which definitely kept things interesting. Everyone is welcome if you’d like to bring a pet and be part of a worship service that’s a little more ‘ruff’ around the edges!

Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run
Norcross Police is hosting its first Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run on Saturday, March 28, and the community is invited to join! The morning includes a 5K run at 9am and a 1.4 mile walk at 10am. There will be a checkpoint at One Heart Church, followed by food, drinks, and community booths at the finish. All proceeds support Special Olympics Georgia, and you can find more info or register here!

Dearly Beloved at Lionheart Theatre
The Lionheart Theatre Company kicks off its 26th season with the hilarious Southern comedy Dearly Beloved by Jones Hope Wooten. Irish Fest returns to Downtown Norcross tomorrow, Saturday, March 7 from 12-5pm! Enjoy live Irish music, high-energy performances from Drake School of Irish Dance, plus face painting, balloon artists, food, and family fun. Kids and adults can join the Leprechaun Costume Contest or test their steps in the Irish Jig Contest. Lionheart Summer Camps
Lionheart Theatre Company is hosting two weeks of Summer Drama Camp June 1-12 for students ages 8-18! Week one, Brave on Stage, June 1-5, focuses on confidence, creativity, and stage skills for ages 8-14. Week two, June 8-12, is a one-week production camp where ages 13-18 rehearse and perform Big Bad, with performances on Friday. Each camp runs 9am-3pm and costs $250. Learn more and register!

Brookhaven Innovation Academy is hosting an open house for families interested in the 2026–2027 school year. When German immigrants settled Pennsylvania in the 18th and 19th centuries, they chose the native groundhog as forecaster. The first official celebration took place in Punxsutawney in 1887, and thousands still gather and watch each year!

Amazing Art Expo is coming to Norcross February 6-8 with three days of pop-culture art and special guests! Ice Cream for Breakfast Day
Butter & Cream’s annual Ice Cream for Breakfast Day celebration is on Saturday, February 7! Walton Crossing + Community Feedback
Walton Crossing is now open for rent and offers affordable options for households who meet income guidelines. Additionally, Walton Communities and Mosaic Community Planning are hosting two free community meetings at Walton Crossing, 675 Mitchell Road, on Wednesday, January 21, 11am and Thursday, January 22 at 3pm. These meetings will gather input on barriers to accessing education, employment, and health resources nearby. You can also share feedback through the community survey at tinyurl.com/s4p9p8ra.

Comprehensive Plan Update Vote
The Norcross Planning & Zoning Board proposed updates to the City’s Comprehensive Plan, which guides future land use and development of character areas. City Council approval is required for updates to be implemented. The vote is scheduled for the next City Council meeting on Monday, January 5. Your opinion matters! Love it or hate it, tell our city council members what you think before they vote.

1. Removing a prior prohibition on apartment buildings in Character Area 5, Hopewell Woods (which includes Broadstone).

2. Split Character Area 7 into 7A and 7B. Before the split, Character Area 7 was defined as a single planning area extending along Holcomb Bridge Road from the Parkside area down to Buford Highway. On the proposed map, the “historic” designation ends at Magnolia Street NW along Holcomb Bridge Road heading toward Buford Highway. This allows a variety of new developments to be considered.

3. Character Area 4, North Peachtree, would continue to stay low-density, and the update encourages Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs), like a small backyard cottage or garage apartment, as a flexible option for homeowners.

Have you seen a Free Little Art Gallery around town? Display your artwork in one of these boxes! The idea is to share your art with others - start a swap art game. There are 2 boxes, one in Betty Mauldin Park and one at the end of Carlyle Street in the parking area. Your little art designs could make a big impression and add cheer to the holidays! Winter Break Magic at The Parkside
The Parkside at Peachtree Corners Town Center (founded by co-owners of Savage Pizza Norcross) is welcoming winter break with a fun, kid-friendly holiday event! From December 22 through January 2, weekdays include treats, crafts, and seasonal activities for children 12 and under! Pricing is $35 per child and $25 per adult. Space is limited, and advance registration is required!

They sat for three hours, sipping bourbon, talking, laughing, and wishing moments like that happened more often. Now, every December the week before Christmas, Bruce welcomes anyone of age to stop in, sample some bourbon, do a little shopping, and share some holiday cheer.
